Our office specializes in engineering design, supervision services and accessibility consulting for a variety of clients, private businesses and institutions including large complex projects both locally and internationally.
The firm was founded by AREEN TABOUNY NATOUR, a civil engineering and accessibility consultant, also specializing in a variety of safety fields.
The multidisciplinary specialization in the engineering and accessibility industry allows us to provide a high-quality comprehensive and accurate professional package for every need, including regulatory requirements.
Our clients receive an individually tailored response with a variety of effective solutions, which can be seamlessly integrated into the planning process.
We bring expertise knowledge of access standards and legislation and an understanding of the clients’ and the public’s needs.

Inclusive Design
AREEN believes that the concept of ‘Inclusive Design’ is an essential component in creating good architecture. Inclusive Design should achieve its purpose seamlessly without proclaiming itself as specifically designed for disabled people.
Achieving good accessibility requires synergy, involving building designers, operational managers and users.
We provide a balanced response to potentially competing duties and obligations; specifically where conservation, security, and safety issues are concerned.
An accessible environment is a legal requirement as well as a social expectation.
We have developed an assessment method to measure accessibility against both regulatory and best practice standards. We regularly review our assessment criteria to meet rising expectations.
We do this in a practical manner, ensuring that neither architectural nor heritage expectations are compromised in the process. By designing inclusively, we create spaces that are user friendly, of high quality and have a durable and positive impact on the wider community as well as on the environment.
Services
We offer a range of services to support clients, architects, planners and developers throughout the design process, during construction and post occupancy if required. This ensures more practical access solutions for architects and reduces the risk of non-compliance with statutory duties for building owners.
Our services relates directly to the planned scope of work. Our services are most effective when appointed from the early stages of a project. We can be appointed for a single stage or all stages of a project and beyond. We can be instructed by a building owner or developer or appointed by the architect or project manager.
The Access audits and surveys we complete provide an evaluation of existing accessibility; make recommendations for improvements and help to establish priorities for improvement. The audit report enables owners and managers to make improvements in line with legal duties and social expectations. Our audit methodology is a step-by-step journey, commencing with approach to the site. The review will include car parking and drop-off, external approaches, entrances, horizontal and vertical circulation, signage, emergency evacuation and any areas particular to the building’s function.
We also provide Surveys Inspecting the service accessibility for existing and new businesses/educational institutes and make recommendations. We do Approval for a business license for the local authority - Form 8b (b).
We also offer Tutorials, lectures and training courses and provide awareness campaigns.
Qualifications
Degree in Civil Construction and Transport Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, in the Faculty of Civil Engineering (B.SC)
